Camping Nite #2 - Percha Dam State Park

On the Rio Grande...that puny struggling river. Only that we couldn't see it from campsite due to dense shrub cover along the banks. Not a particularly winning campsite. And we were down to beans and Rotel equivalent....with a wonderful local feta.

We froze to death - because...we discovered in the morning...we had left a window open. We looked like snowmen in the morning, and forewent breakfast to dine in Truth or Consequnces

forgot... La Bella Donna

The Star

City of Rocks State Park

Camping in southwestern New Mexico.....with 2 cellphones, 2 computers, an I-Pad, an I-Pod with cassette player audio, GPS, 3 cameras, many lenses, cardreader and chargers for them all. Provisioned in Hatch, NM, home of the greenchile and not much else. A twelve-foot long frig case filled with tortillas of all kinds and chicharrones, and meat case full of ground beef, tongue, oxtail, tripe...and 3 steaks. A Spanish-speaking town.

A prime campground for nature lovers - I've never seen so many stars.
